Meet our team
Meet the team here at Church Wharf Garage
Keith Fisher
Director
"The Gentleman of the Motor-trade". Keith started out as an apprentice 6 decades ago. He learnt the old-fashioned hard way and over the years built up many successful businesses. Church Wharf Garage was purchased by Keith in 2008 and Keith has worked tirelessly to turn it into the successful business it is today. Countless 7-day weeks, 20-hour days and sleepless nights over a career spanning 60 years, combined with the investment to keep up with the constant changes in the industry has been necessary but the results speak for themselves. Without Keith's sacrifices none of the team would be in the position we are in, and we are all indebted to him.
Tom Fisher
Director
Tom joined the family business full time fresh faced out of school in the days of Hardy Mill Service Station. He learnt the ins and outs of the motor trade from Dad and thrived at the challenge that lay ahead when Church Wharf Garage became his new home. Tom has brought a fresh modern head to strengthen the business and helped it to keep up with the times. Tom might tell you how much he hates the trade some days, but that doesn't stop him from putting 100% effort into ensuring all our customers are treated to the high level of service they deserve. And when the day gets really bad, there's an espresso martini at the end of it!
Paul Fisher
Sales Manager
Paul worked in the family business in the 90's, but it's his decades of experience in Main Dealers that Paul has brought back to us. An experienced Head of Sales in what seems like every Main Dealer in the North-West, Paul has a vision of what route he wants the sales of the business to follow, and he won't stop until he sees his vision complete. Even if you don't want a car, 5 minutes with Paul will see you desperate to buy one! On top of this Paul oversees many other areas of the business, just don't let him catch you making a mess of his desk!
Stuart
Comes from the Hardy Mill days. He is our go to guy and will do anything from re-building an engine to fixing a leak on the sink. Stuart was integral to the transition to Church Wharf Garage, not even the birth of his daughter would stop him getting stuck in on moving day.
Matty
joined the team in 2010 as an apprentice and is a testament to working your way from the bottom. His just do it attitude and infectious laugh is enough to make anyone want to spend time with him.
Bob
has been with us since 2011 and there's no-one in the world who loves MOT's more than Bob. He lives for the next MOT (and his next parcel to be delivered) and loves what he does. There's always a supply of chocolate where Bob is, but he looks after the boys too with regular donuts.
Chris
came to us in 2012. Amongst many assets, his fabrication and welding skills are second to none! Chris is not afraid to get stuck into the biggest tasks, and if you need some heavy lifting doing our very own shire-horse is always up to the task.
Matthew
is the baby of the team. Another apprentice who has proved himself over the years and earned his place in the lineup. Matthew has a desire to keep improving and learning new skills. The only thing he loves more than a day at work is a 5am trip to the car boot.
Paul
joined the team in 2016. An all-rounder, Paul will get stuck into any job however big! Somedays you don't realise Paul is in work as he's in the corner working away on the mammoth job that he was tasked with the day before. And if you want any inspiration on what to have for tea, just take a look at his lunch box.
Neil
joined us in 2020 from a lifetime at main dealers. He brought with him a wealth of knowledge and self-discipline that was part of his working life for so long. Just a few of Neils many talents are gearbox re-building, diagnostics and the best elephant impression this side of Chester Zoo.
Vinnie
completes the line-up in the role of Valetor. An eye for detail like no other, Vinnie will get stuck in come sun, rain or snow. Vinnie works tirelessly to ensure all the sales vehicles are presented to the highest standard and helps out around the site too.
Pam
The company wouldn't be what it is today without Pam. Soulmate to Keith, Step-mum to Tom and Paul, Mother-in-law to Jamie, Second Mum to all the lads and Company Secretary. Pam sadly passed away in December 2020 and left a huge void in all our lives. Pam was part of Church Wharf Garage's journey from day 1 and will forever be in our hearts.
